The last manip I will be doing for a while, this total BAMF is for PestilentTempest and is #2 from this set: Dragon Horse Adopt This challenged me in brand new ways and took about a month to complete, with a crash course the past week. The entire horse, including its wings, are 100% hand-painted, which I have never done to this extent in a full photomanipulation before. I painted wing joints, textures, and many other details I've never attempted before, so it was a test and a pleasure at once. I am insanely proud of it and also just downright smitten with this character! I am hoping this piece will lead to a breakthrough in my technique and give me something to continue pushing toward, and maybe in a few months we'll see me finally achieving ref-free painting?
